About Me

A bit about me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Rockland County, NY. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University, and I've spent the years since building a practice focused on couples, individuals, and families.

My clinical background spans a broad range of mental health settings, from private practice to extensive work within community mental health. I have served as a supervisor for direct support staff within a large community mental health clinic, and have delivered professional trainings on topics related to marriage, ADHD, and parenting.

The primary focus of my practice is working with couples and relationships, helping partners navigate intense conflict or heal from painful emotional distance. Alongside my relationship work, I specialize in ADHD across the lifespan, including individual support for adults and teens with ADHD, targeted coaching for parents raising children with ADHD, and support for neurodivergent parents navigating the unique challenges of family life.

My Approach

The presenting problem
is rarely the whole story

My work is grounded in a simple belief: the presenting problem is rarely the whole story. What we find, when we slow down enough to look, is usually something more fundamental: unmet needs, old patterns, a longing to feel seen and connected that isn't getting met.

I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy and attachment science, and weave in psychodynamic thinking, mindfulness-based approaches, and other evidence-based methods when helpful and appropriate. I don't work from a rigid framework. I follow the person, and tailor interventions based on the unique needs and circumstances of each individual client.

Areas of Focus

What I work on

Couples Therapy

Whether you're in the middle of a crisis or have just slowly drifted apart, couples therapy is a place to actually talk, with someone who can help you both feel heard. My main approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which works by getting underneath the conflict to what's actually driving it. Less about communication tips, more about understanding why you keep getting stuck and what to do differently.

ADHD Support

ADHD looks different in every person. I work with kids, teens, and adults to figure out what's actually going on, build strategies that fit how their brain works, and address the emotional side that often gets overlooked, including self-esteem, overwhelm, and the impact on relationships. Individual Therapy

I work with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and the kind of stress that doesn't go away on its own. I also work with people who keep running into the same walls in their closest relationships and want to understand why. Whatever brings you in, you don't need to have it figured out before reaching out.

Teenagers, Adults & Parents

I work with teenagers and adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. I also offer parenting support for parents of children with ADHD or anxiety, working with parents directly rather than seeing the child. The approach is tailored to each person and where they are in their life.

Couples Intensives

Some couples don't have the luxury of weekly sessions, or they've been waiting too long and need to do something significant now. A 2 or 3 day intensive gives us the time to actually get somewhere, rather than spending months scratching the surface.

Common Questions

Questions people ask

What is EFT? +
Emotionally Focused Therapy is one of the most well-researched approaches to couples work, developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. I use it to help partners slow down and access the deeper emotions underneath conflict, the fears, the unmet needs, the moments of feeling unseen. When those become visible to each other, something shifts. Connection becomes possible again.
What can I expect in therapy? +
My sessions are warm, collaborative, and free of judgment. In the beginning, I spend time really understanding your situation, what's been happening, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. From there, we move at a pace that feels right. I'm not interested in rushing the work. I want it to actually mean something.
Where do sessions take place? +
I see clients in person in the Rockland County, NY area, and I also work with people remotely via telehealth. Both formats work well, it really comes down to what's most convenient and comfortable for you.
How long are sessions? +
Standard individual sessions are 45 minutes and couples sessions generally run for 60 minutes. If you're interested in an intensive, those run over 2–3 days and are structured differently, reach out and we can talk through what that would look like for you.
How long will therapy take? +
Honestly, it depends. Some people come in with a specific issue and feel real movement within a few months. Others are working through deeper patterns that take longer to shift. I don't believe in dragging things out, but I also don't want to rush something that deserves real attention. We'll check in along the way and I'll always be honest with you about where I think we are.
What is your fee? +
My fee is $200 for a 45-minute session and $250 for a 60-minute session.
Do you accept insurance? +
I'm not in-network with any insurance plans. That said, I can provide a superbill after each session, a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans will cover a portion of the cost. I'd recommend checking with your provider to understand your out-of-network benefits before we begin.
How do I get started? +
Use the contact form below or reach out directly by phone or email. I offer a brief complimentary phone call to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
